MAC Blush Collection: Limited Edition

Hi beauties,

I wanted to share with you my MAC blush collection. YES, I know they are all from limited edition collections, but MAC is notorious on re-promoting products in new collections, so I thought that I would share with you anyways so that if you see any of these shades being rereleased, you could check them out!

Let's get started:

I'll start out by telling you how MAC describes each shade, followed by how I would describe it in pink.

Fun & Games Beauty Powder blush: "A soft orange peach". I'd definitely say that this is a true peach, while going more towards the orange side of things. It has some very subtle gold shimmer, which thanks to the beauty powder formulation, isn't over the top and applies very sheer. I think this color would be beautiful on any skin tone.

Bite Of An Apple blush: "Brightened coral-pink" I would say that this is a more red toned pink rather than a coral. It is bright, that's for sure! I find this color a bit hard to work with because of the matte formulation, because it takes a really light hand and lots of blending. I have been liking matte formulations lately, especially when I have extra time to get ready, and I'd love to know your favorite matte blushes from MAC, so I can check them out!

Prim & Proper blush: "Shimmery beige nude" I think calling this a beige nude is writing it off a bit short. I see some definite pink undertones that give this blush more dimension. The satin finish gives the tiniest bit of a sheen when the light hits it right. I would highly recommend that you check this out when it comes back around in a newer collection. It is perfect for everyday and looks gorgeous on many different skin tones.

Prom Princess blush: "Mid-tone violet pink" Please please please, do NOT be intimidated by this color. It is dark, while still being bright, and you could definitely go overboard with it, but applying it with a fluffy blush brush will give you the most gorgeous flush EVER. I do agree with the description of a violet pink because I see some purple undertones, but for the winter months this blush is a stunner. I also see the tiniest bit of silver shimmer, which I prefer during the colder months. I also can't wait to wear it during the summer. It is a definite must have in my book, and I have honestly been reaching for it over my beloved Nars Orgasm blush since purchasing!

Cream Soda blush: "Light neutral coral" In a lot of ways, this reminds me of the Fun & Games blush, because I would reach for it when doing a smokey eye look. It is a lighter more neutral version of Fun & Games, and a bit "flatter", not giving as much dimension to the cheeks. It is still a beautiful color, and is a great neutral for those like me with a pale complexion. I have also read online that there is a drugstore dupe for this color! ---Rimmel's Santa Rose blush! I haven't checked it out, but many beauty blogs are considering it a dupe!

I hope you enjoyed this post or found it helpful! I'd love to hear what some of your favorite MAC blushes are so I can try them out!

XOXO,
Erin
